| Life Update |

So, I just wanted to make a quick life update. A ton of stuff has been going on lately and I am coming up to the end of another chapter in my life, so I thought I would document it for you and also for myself. Life is totally hectic at the moment!
I am in the final stretch of my college "career." I will be graduating from Cal State San Marcos on May, 17, 2008. I will be sending out announcements within the week, hopefully, so keep your eyes peeled. I am really excited to be finishing college and very proud of myself. I will be graduating with honors (I have made the Dean's List every semester so far) and I was also accepted into Psi Chi, a national honors society for psychology students in the last few weeks. I am going to be be having a big party to celebrate at my parent's house in Chula Vista the day after my graduation (May 18th) in the afternoon/evening.
Everyone keeps saying to me, "So now you get to start looking for a job!" Well I am totally blessed and lucky because I already have one lined up! Assuming everything goes as planned, I will be working at Goodrich after a much-needed few weeks off. The plan is to become a "Continuous Improvement Associate" and work for someone that I did a few projects for over the summer. It is an amazing opportunity that was basically handed to me on a silver platter. Connections are the most valuable thing in today's workforce, let me tell you! I will be making a very healthy living, for which I am very excited and very thankful.
I recently got the settlement from my car accident last year. Not a huge amount of money, but money that I decided to spend on a project car. So about a month ago, I bought a 1955 first series Chevy truck! His name is Rex and he will be super awesome! At the moment we are trying to finish Joseph's bike and collect all the parts for the truck. We are going to build him from the ground up with all new (to us) parts. So far, we have been making one or two trips to the junkyards on weekends. My hands have been getting dirty, but it's really fun! I'm sure there will be plenty of updates in the future about that.
Joseph and I are doing really well. We have been learning a lot about communicating and things have been awesome. We still live in our little cottage in North Park....but we are hardly ever there! We are throwing around lots of ideas for the near future, and will hopefully be buying a house soon. The market is perfect for first-time buyers!
Since life is so hectic, as I'm sure it is for everyone else, I just thought I'd give you a quick update of my life. Life is so good at the moment and I have so much to be thankful for. I look forward to the work life....working 9-5 (or 7-3:30 as the case may be) sounds so awesome right now. I will definitely not miss homework or papers or tests! I hope all of you are well.

THE ANCHOR
The anchor has become quite the staple in the tattoo world but was originally associated with young sailors first trip over the Atlantic. The anchor tattoo has become a symbol for stability and a strong foundation. It can also symbolize a lover and the stability that lover has brought to their lives. In ancient times the anchor was a symbol with ties to the early Christian church. i know i haven't updated in forever. here is a quick overview.
moved off campus.
i moved into my new house this weekend with my daddy's help.
i looooove it!
i went crazy decorating.
i am completely in love with my new bed.
i <3 my roommates.
we are going to cook and eat dinner together lots, and have tons of movie nights!
our housewarming party is probably this friday.
i <3 having my own parking spot.
i also <3 having cell phone reception.
i started school yesterday.
so far, so good.
fridays are going to suck: class 9-4.
i am thinking of taking a trip to santa cruz on saturday, depending.
i will be home for spring break march 30-april 9.
tiff is hopefully gonna visit me soon!! <3

anyone who wants to come visit is more than welcome.
i worked at goodrich while i was home.
and will be working in the same department over summer.
i <3 the crazy engineers & fresh-out-of-college boys, haha.
i plan on making many many road trips to new places this year.
i have gotten two tattoos in the last month.
my new(ish) car, ace, has done me well, and we have done about 8,000 glorious miles since i got him in july--with many more on the way, much to daddy's dismay.

drove back to san francisco yesterday. my first long drive. i took it like a champ...definately take after my dad in the respect that the long drive hardly phased me. had a good time with my mommy. she liked most of my music. came over to tommy's for dinner, but i got sick, so i was just miserable. went back to the hotel and went to bed super early. woke up sick. puked. went to school, checked in, and moved in real quick. met my roommates. all pretty chill so far. unpacked, went to lunch with my mommy, daddy & tommy, went to target, unpacked some more....went to coffee. said goodbye to my parents. only cried a itsy bit. finished setting most things up. got gas. ate at tommy's.
tommorrow will be a super hectic day of errands. then school on wednesday. eek. it has definately crept up on me.
don't hesitate to call the cell.

i guess i should just accept that no one reads this anymore....
but writing is good for me and i can look back and see what went on in my life.
so my birthday weekend at home was great. went to disneyland on thursday with tommy, andie, and lindsey! it was such an awesome day!
then i spent my birthday all day with my seany. :) that was totally unexpected and wonderful. my daddy came home from work early and we went and bought me a new digital camera. then i opened my wondeful presents from my family and tomtom. then tommy, andie, tiffany, mikey, moe, sean and i went to the corvette diner. it was so much fun!
saturday, i went to lunch with my family in hillcrest. we had a yummy lunch and it was good to have the 4 of us together...it seems like forever since that happened. the trip was multi-purposed...i also had to find a dress for tommy's prom. luckily, mission accomplished for $20. score! i also got another really pretty dress for whatever occassion...maybe fee's sweet 16 mocktail party coming up??? hmm.... a great day with the family, anyways. then church, and a relaxing, quiet night at tommy's. we ordered pizza and watched a lot of tv. and fell asleep, haha. oh! i also saw my beautiful andie's prom dress!! she will be the bell of the ball indeed!
sunday, i packed my bags, and my two favorite boys came over. we had a really nice lunch in the nice sun in the backyard. it was sooooo good to have the 6 of us all together again like old times. then seany left and we headed off to the airport. our last goodbye! (in san diego that is...i said goodbye to tommy again yesterday)
all in all, a wonderful weekend. i am so blessed.
then it was only like 4 days till tommy came up here to see me. he arrived on thursday night. we ate some dinner and just farted around for a few hours. then friday, we walked to the mall, i got a leopard purse on clearance i had been coveting. came back, laid around some more. then we went to in-n-out at pier 39. it was nice to get out for a little bit. and a yummy dinner. came back because it was cold. laid around some more, haha. watched our usual orange county choppers. saturday, we got up fairly early and went with jenna and her boyfriend to see their house for next year. the traffic was really bad and we will have to find a more efficient route to get there. the house was really messy, as the people havent moved out yet, but it is so big and will be great! i cant wait to hang out there! i can bake since they have a real oven!! then we drove around a lot with them. ended up at this weird gold dome over by the presidio. sat and watched a swan and her 4 "swanettes" for like half an hour. then we decided we wanted to eat at squat & gobble in west portal, but it took us like an hour to find west portal. but yummy food was had. then tommy and i took a nap and hung around for a while. then we went and saw kingdom of heaven. tommy had told me he wanted to see it, but kind of fibbed. but it turned out to be sooooo great. we both loved it! then we went to starbuck's and had a really good night. lots of talking. sunday, we walked to the grocery store. i forgot how much boys eat. plus, i'm not used to feeding two people full time. the walk was nice, and it was good to have a boy to carry things. :) we then watched full metal jacket which tommy had been trying to get me to watch all weekend. it was alright. a classic, i guess. then tommy helped me with some presentation i had to do. (thanks, love!) monday, i had classes. tommy was such a sport. i was gonna try and do my ballet final so he could watch, but one of the girls in my group "hurt her foot over the weekend" so we have to go on wednesday. he did get to see me do it once with the whole class for practice, though. then i had a class he couldnt go with me to, so he came back to the apartment. i came back, he made lunch, and i changed and then it was off to tutoring where he met rachel. it was swamped because they have a test tomorrow, so he left again. then i came back and we got to snuggle and talk for one last little bit. then it was off to take tommy to the bart station. i havent cried the last two times i left san diego, but for some reason i cried!!
oh well. i shall live. it's only like 9 days till i am home for summer now. for finals, i have:
a final tomorrow
paper due thursday
paper and test tuesday
paper due friday
lots of packing! move home friday!!!

my 19th birthday on friday. doesn't feel like it. oh well. another year older.

this time next week, i will be getting on a plane again. :) i am so excited to go home again. everything is finally coming to an end. i am only a few weeks away from being done with long distance with tommy. finally. things seem to be working out in that department. :)
i keep forgetting it's my birthday next week. friday to be exact. the big 1-9. so old, haha. as spencer said, "one day closer to death." he's so encouraging. hah.
also super excited about going to prom with tommy, andie, adam, and stacey. wohoo! i love dressing up!

i'll be home this thursday evening through sunday afternoon.
home again may 4th-8th for my birthday weekend. 19. holy cow.
tommy and stacey are coming to visit may 12th-16th?
i move home for the summer may 27th.
it's so weird that i am so close to finishing my first year of college. in the midst of it, it felt like it was never going to end, but looking back, it has truely flown by. i am so excited for summer. to make my own money again. to spend time with tons of friends. hopefully get things figured out. drive! hopefully go on some road trips. just have tons of fun in the san diego sun. :)
had tons of fun with mikey this weekend. gave him the speedy tour of san francisco, haha. chinatown, north beach, pier 39, haight & ashbury. we saw sin city with jennie and aaron. drove across the golden gate bridge, walked around in golden gate park, watched way too much viva la bam, and walked and rented without a paddle. all in all a good weekend, i'd say. |

so i went home at the last minute last weekend, for those of you who didn't know. i drove home with silvia, her sister pati, and their cousin mario. i got to stanford on public transport....that was an adventure, haha. the drive home was awesome. the stars were beautiful, and we had a good time playing the alphabet game and trying to pick up on hot guys in la traffic at midnight listening to the faint, haha.
i had a good weekend, overall. the car show was great, especially out in the glorious sun all day. <3
i got entirely too little sleep, but i survived, and will be back to normal in a jiffy.
monday was ok. class, tutoring, lots of homework, counseling, and my beloved jennie finally came home! we have done a lot of catching up, but still have loads more to go.
less than 11 days till mikey comes! :)

monday: shopping with mommy, coffee with silvia, in & out with silvia and calvin, run into lee and trevor, hang out with dane.
tuesday: coffee with melinda, dinner with melinda and evan, spend the night at silvia's. :)
wednesday: outlet shopping with andie, visit melinda and april at their works, dinner with my family, RISK with andie, lee, trevor, and maritza, anchor man.
thursday: csi marathon with mikey (!!), lots of talking with my andie. :)
friday: lunch with kt, dinner and a movie with tiff, csi andie, lee, and trevor, talk with andie.
saturday: daddy's 50th birthday lunch with family, church, surprise daddy with cake, the incredibles with andie.
sunday: up at 4:45, easter baskets, church, attempt to nap, fail, back to church, attempt to nap again, fail, easter egg hunt with fee in backyard, go to airport, coffee, fly home, silvia, carina, and renee pick me up, crazy scary drive home in the rain, unpack, talk to andie, catch up with julia, bed. |

so not that any of you even noticed i was gone, but my internet was down for the last day or so. it was torture! especially since i'm getting so antsy about spring break. but i survived, and hopefully it wont do that again for a long while.
so it's downhill from here:
tomorrow, i have a midterm for quantitative reasoning
thursday, i have 2 papers due (critical thinking and labor studies) and a critical thinking midterm
i just packed pretty much everything i think i'll need
and i'll leave right after class on thursday! eee! mr. mikey's pickin' me up from the airport! (thanks mikey!) i am totally ready to have a blast in my sunny san diego! :) |
